Further to our extensive work in the sports sector, we are delighted to announce the beta launch of Colooder's new type of fan experience app for Gloucester Rugby.
As part of the Gloucester Rugby’s connected stadium vision, Clock has built an intelligent platform Colooder, that powers the new app to give fans access, not only to the highly performant Wi-Fi but also a number of features and services that will enhance their experience as a fan in the stadium.
The first iteration of the app, launched at the Gloucester Rugby versus Bristol Bears game, gives supporters unique access to the Referee’s voice as part of Reffeed. Delivered digitally, this service is a one-of-a-kind in UK sports and required not only the keen development skills of Clock’s team but also the provision of next generation integrated digital stadium infrastructure, made possible thanks to Colooders partners - Landways. It is the first time in Premiership Rugby history, that a live audio feed has been made available to fans in the stadium through a mobile app.
Gloucester Rugby fans are now able to beat the queues by pre-ordering drinks using the Click & Collect functionality supplied by SwipeStation, as well as take part in half time quizzes, vote for their Man of the Match, share photos of the day and of course, get up-to-the minute text commentary.
This is just the start of a very exciting project, and we'll be working with Colooder to deliver their roadmap which includes promotions, additional live audio feeds and insider content, all delivered dynamically.
